Digital Awareness and Internet Usage in Society
Introduction:
As the world is growing fastly, the internet has become a part of everyone's daily life routine. Generally, it can be said that the use of the internet is mainly for social and entertainment purposes. not limited to that but also it is being used for learning purposes. Additionally, the internet is also the main tool connecting people all around the world and updating them with the latest news and updates. Therefore, it can be said that the internet is the major source of spreading news and information quickly to a large audience within a very limited period. So, It is very important to make sure that people get only good and trusted content which has no negative impact on our society.
Unfortunately, that's not going in the world of the internet and social media. Instead, fake news and unethical content are spreading in an uncontrollable way causing a lot of problems in our society. The most disturbed group due to that kind of content is student communities. It is because students are deeply involved in internet usage, but don't exactly know the proper usage of it for academics and research purpose. Misguided information causing a big loss in students and other people learning something from the internet. That's why it is highly recommended to concern about the quality of content on the internet.
To control that situation, the proposed project aims to guide students about the right use of the internet and saving them from fake information and inappropriate material that can cause some issues in the future. For that purpose, we guide in such a way that the students will not only get awareness related to their academics but also to start a business or make use of the internet in their professional life.
Objectives:
· To educate students regarding the right usage of the internet.
· To inform students about fake content and propagandas.
· To control access to age-restricted content.
· To prevent a clash due to a lot of differences of opinions.
· To prevent students in the negative emotional activities.
· To control excessive involvement in politics and other sensitive issues.
· To guide students about the usage of the internet for academic purposes.
· To teach students modern methods to use internet for profession and career.
